The Lake and Bandstand in Beckton Public Park, East Ham Manor Way in 1903.  The Municipal Dwellings of Savage Gardens can be seen to the left, they were named after Councillor Savage, J.P. and were opened by Councillor John Brooks, C.C. on 7th February 1901.

Park Cottage c1900

Park Cottage, built in the 1880s was originally a school house. It lies in the south west corner of West Ham Park and is now used as one of the staff lodges.

Livingstone Road - Stratford


Typical of so much of the  "two-up, two-down" housing often called "artisans dwellings" in Newham. This photograph was probably taken soon after the Second World War as suggested by the gaps in the terrace and the boarded-up properties.
