East Ham Trams -3

East Ham tram on Stratford Broadway in the 1920s; Martins Lane is just behind. The though route from Aldgate to Ilford is a bit misleading as the tram tracks stopped on the Romford Road in Manor Park just short of the boundary with Ilford borough, so passengers had a walk up Ilford Hill to the town centre.

Corporation tram livery was described as a deep reddish-brown and yellowish cream (or coffee coloured brown and cream). The borough coat of arms was displayed on the waiste panel and on teh rocker panel below the name of the undertaking was picked out in gold lettering, shaded blue.
