Bus station

The structure was part of the redevelopment of Stratford that included the shopping mall, offices and Gerry Raffles Square. The bus station stood along Great Eastern Road and was a dark and dingy place of un-relieved concrete and brick where people queued on narrow  pavements between bus lanes, amidst a swirl of diesel fumes. It was pulled down and another altogether light and airy pavilion-like structure erected in its place.
