Examples of Advertising Handbills.  

One the left is a handbill for Bradley's of Upton Lane and the Romford Congregational Church (now a Muslim school). These were quickly and cheapley produced for a range of activities. They carried only essential information and,  because of their ephemeral nature, often did not state the year. These are assumed to have been produced in the early 1900s.
