John Knights Royal Primrose Soapworks, West Silvertown.  A view taken from the River Thames.  The site covered an extensive area close to Silvertown Way. The site is now cleared for redevelopment.  In addition to soap, the factory also produced tallow, glue, fertilisers, vegetable adhesives and dripping. It became a subsidiary of Unilever Ltd.
