 Hi. Robert.Did i read somewhere that West Ham had a baseball team that use to play at the old Custom House stadium,I  :oknow the Americian troops who were billeted there before golng out to  Normandy as back up after the D-Day landings use to play  on the grass between the race tracks,they use to let us watch them when we were kids,but i did read that West Ham base ball team played there before the war

There is a book written by the well known Historian Dr Brian Belton on the subject. It is called British Baseball and the West Ham Club:It received a 5 star rating, and as Brain has written books before about West Ham, it must be well worth a read.
