NEWHAM HISTORY SOCIETY

(1/1)

Newham Story Admin:
The Newham History Society was founded in 1971 to study and promote all aspects of the history of East and West Ham, East London and Essex. There are monthly meetings with guest speakers on a wide variety of topics, meeting on the second Tuesday of the month from September to June.

The Society is a member of Essex Archaeological and Historical Congress, Forest Group for Local History, and works closely with Newham Heritage Services and other organisations to further an interest in the area’s history.  Our journal, Newham Historian, is published quarterly and circulated free to our members around the world.

Contact the Hon. Secretary, Stephen Pewsey, at  for further information.
