For anyone interested in memories of the Two Puddings Pub in Stratford There is a book that has just been published written by Eddie Johnson called Tales From The Two Puddings , it is available on Amazon or from www.thethe.com which is his sons website and priced at £9.99. I did put this on here but under pubs but should have put it in the books section The book has lots of pictures. Carol

Carol just got my book first couple of pages and I know where he is sitting, in what pub and the village not far from me! Would love to bump into him one day could chat for hours about many a drink consumed in the puds! Happy days, I will not be putting down this book, thank you for recommending it.

I read it Carol, an excellent book - well written and full of good memories - I never knew Eddie although I'd seen him but I did know Kenny and he was a diamond geezer no doubt about it.

Carol i most definitely would, buy him a pint and compliment him on a great book. I used to frequent in early 80's, my first husband (got rid of him!) proposed to me in the beer garden. Been racking my brains did they change name of the club upstairs in 80's? so pleased book arrived today just had unexpected inspection of my lughole today had a polyps cauterized in my ear canal was not happy so now tucked up reading, perfect timing!

The dance hall upstairs changed its name a few times , When I first went there it was called The Big Beat late 50s/ 60s. Then it was Devils Kitchen /Snobs / Broadway and then Angel lanes I think thats all of them . Enjoy the book Carol.

Hi Rosie, I used to go upstairs in the Puddings in the early 60s when it was called The Big Beat but I didnt go downstairs that much , its a shame all of these places have gone . I dont think the book is on Kindle . ps. I wouldnt mind a copy of that photo taken at the puddings as the one on your profile is very small . Carol.

Eddies son started the publishing company just to print the book . Its called 51st State I think , I dont know what he would need to do as that is not how he earns a living .I could mention it to him. Carol.

I have just asked Eddies son and he says it would not be on kindle in the near future at least . He said he has been having problems with people ripping his albums off once they are in digital format and he doesnt want it happening to his Dads book. Carol.
