Hi Pam,
A great friend of mine and one of the greatest police boxer's was Johnny Banham. John represented this country in the Olympics and was also a champion swimmer and fencer. I was re-reading an article about him last night and it stated that he started his boxing career when he was a police cadet at East Ham. His trainer was ,(you've guessed it) Arthur Craddock.

several people have replied to east ham boxing club i had a photo with dad and some of the boys with names two people asked for copies because they were in it have more pics with derek cottee malcome dyke jonny peake dan mogford and more thanks to this site some memories have been shared
