I have just started to read a book. By SALLY WORBOYES. The title is, "East End Girl"

She describes it, GROWING UP THE HARD WAY! her own life story in post war Stepney, bursting with memories both warm and less welcome. It is the vivid story of Sally's days spent  'racking' around the East End Streets, and crowding in a tiny two up two down home.

It is described Warm, affectionate yet clear-sighted, this is proberly Sally's most gripping saga yet, and every word of it is true.

Having got half way through, It is a must to read!

I must look out for that one as Sally Worboys is a favourite author of mine. Very readable.
