I know it's not particulary just Newham but this is an interesting document with lots of references to stuff I'm sure you'd be interested in.

From the document in my post above this is a fantastic film of pre-olympic site Lea Valley.  Someone had the foresight to make it - a gem.

Be patient though there is a long header on it of about 4 minutes.
