I have found a few pictures of the flats called Lund Point going up in Rosher Road!!

may i please add that lund point was built on the site of the old timber yard in old biggerstaff road off carpenters road !
i know for sure becase i grew up in biggerstaff road and watched it being built

HI, i remember the woodyard .it was called beaumonts until it caught fire.i seem to remember they had a shop at maryland point.i lived in preston road.

i knew lot of people /familys from preston road !running errands at both collins corner shop on the corner of biggerstaff and carol baileys on the corner of preston ! i remember albert the rag man throwin all his wares on a large tarpaulin sheet for all the local women to rummage thru once a week on old garage land behind carols shop with freddie morris,es car front on the carpenters end "did you ever buy a car from him"

Hi ,no,i didnt by a car from him! i remember carrie she moved to the other end of abbey lane.does the little tunnel still exist over the "bunny"that used to come out onto the railway lands?.hopefully its been blocked off!!!!!
   while lund point was being built i remember one of the rivets ,weighing about 1/2lb landing in the street and i seem to remember someone threatening to commit suicide from the top of lund point as it was being built.
